I read the novel, I like SK.

I was there in DT for some of the filming when at the GG, might even be in the film for a second or two ?

Hopefully that's the worst case scenario ?

Now which posters go to Vegas

And

Who goes to Boulder ?

You have to know the story to get it !

I can think of a few that belong on Randall Flagg's side !

I've read a lot of SK's stuff, most in fact !
Now you get to live it out in real life !

Almost cool, if it wasn't so serious, eh ?

shitty, disgusting human being but has definitely written a few good ones ... The Stand, IT, The Shining, and Thinner stand out for me but those Gunslinger / Dark Tower books are beyond garbage. His writing definitely turned to shit when he got into the money-sucking "series" writing instead of sticking with individual novels

Agree about the Dark Tower stuff, I could never get into his most of later stuff, either

I did enjoy the 11/22/1963 novel/ movie, it had s a ecial meaning to me as I was born just days after JFK, got whacked and think about what that time was like my for my parents born in 1919-1920.

Grow up in 1930's Great Depression had to suck, then get drafted into The Army and do your time, make Sgt, basically do your duty !

He never flew a flag on holidays or would talk about it.

have you guys ever read any of his kids stuff ? Joseph king ...... he writes under the name of JOE HILL , he's written the novels ( the heart shaped box , the fireman , horns , nos4a2 ) among other things like collected stories , comics , short stories , poetry & anthologies with some screenwriting credits to his name also . he never really found his footing until he started writing horror novels ( gee figure that 1 ) , Hollywood has optioned some of his books for movies/ tv shows . His first novel ' HEART SHAPED BOX ' is about an aging rock star named Judas coyne who collects creepy memorabilia , the latest addition to his creepy collection is a dead man's funeral suit which is said to be inhabitated by the dead man's ghost. But unfortunately for judas the ghost is the stepfather of a former groupie who committed suicide & blames Judas for his death

Pretty soon this virus will be infecting trucks and tanks and they’ll be running by themselves taking us over.

I disagree about the Gunslinger books. Wizard and Glass IMO is the best and most complete novel that he has written. It's part of the Dark Tower series, but it stands on its own.
